Mark user as contributor

Wow, I can't believe this mod has swept to the depths of vb.org. It is/was a great mod first created by assasingod for 3.0.X and then Boobfoo ( yes, I keed with his name ) for 3.5. So, now it is gone...not around at all for 3.8 or even 3.6 anymore. So, please help me out here. Create one exactly like it, or update the one that was out.

All it is, is a simply option radio option in your admincp user page where you can mark a user as a contributor and it adds a new line directly under their username marking them as a Contributor.

Thanks everyone,
Curt

I think this fell by the wayside... Because you can do that with usergroups. Just create a new usergroup based on the Registered Users group permissions... And give it the usertitle "Contributor".

It can be done that way, but it will then takeaway a usertitle. With this, you can have both a custom usertitle for a user and a marked contributor.

Then use ranks instead of user titles for the special group. They're the same thing but ranks are only for a particular group.

Yep, but with this mod you can rank individual users. So, I could have people in my registered usergroup who individually, I wanted to make as contributor.

That's not what I said. Make a group for your "contributors" and give them a rank that gets earned at 1 post with the word "Contributor". You move them over to the contributors group and then when you update the groups/ranks (cron job every time the big hand hits the half hour) it'll keep their usertitles and give them the new ranks.

I need help with this anyone? I would like to mark certain members as "Contributors" without taking away from their custom user titles......

Just want these folks to stand out.....
