File Upload Problem

I'm uploading a 14GB compressed file to my site. It is a rar archive and I want to upload it in 1 part preferably. the attachment system does not display how much I have uploaded.it also doesnt let me schedule/pause the upload which is very inconvenient as it takes days to upload to my hosting server. Can anyone help me find a way for me to pause and schedule the upload?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

FTP it and then just post the link instead of trying to use the attachment system.

14GB?!?! Are you going to then share the file with people? I'd just torrent it. (Vuze, and possibly uTorrent also, will allow you to torrent your own files to people.)

torrents are too slow for people to download, but which FTP program should I use? I tried using FireFTP but it kept saying "refused data connection"

You need to speak to your host about why you can't connect to ftp, as long as your using the correct login credentials, its hard to guess as to why its refusing, could be port, tls or a number of other issues.

Again, this is something you need to talk to your host about. It sounds like a permission problem that they will have to fix.
