Limit signature size

Is there a way to successfully limit signature sizes? I would like to set it up that no one can post a signature any larger than 100 x 600. However, I also want to limit the amount of text that can be included. In other words, I don't want people having a signature AND multiple lines of text.

Ideas?

Well, sigpic is a good way to limit the size of images in signatures. In other words, you have to enable signature pictures for the usergroup, but you have to disable the IMG bbcode in signatures. This way, a person can upload a signature picture the same way they would an avatar and then call it with the bbcode:

[sigpic]My Funny Picture[/sigpic]

You can change the parameter in the middle, it's just a description for if you hover over the image. You don't even have to put anything there if you want.

You can limit the character/line count under the usergroup's Signature Permissions section. Should be easy enough to figure that out.

Now as for what you're trying to do, you can always try using this mod:

It's not *exactly* what you want, but it can be used to accomplish your goal. Perhaps you can look into modifying it a little bit? If not, then you'll have to make your own mod from scratch.

Please forgive my newbness on this. There is a notation in the User's Control Panel > Edit Signature > Signature Picture that reads:

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 9.8 KB (whichever is smaller).

If I were to disable html in the user's signature and only allow the uploaded images, how can I adjust the uploaded sigpic size? Is this a setting that I am overlooking somewhere? Of, does it have to be recoded (ie. hack)? Or, is this corrected with a simple custom sigpic bbcode?

The sigpic size is defined in the Usergroup Manager for each usergroup.
