I am exploring the world of forum software and would like to ask experts for an advice:
i am looking to purchase a forum software to enable a relatively small group to exchange messages and share information.
here is the list of features i am looking for:
calendar ( private and public)
administration and possibly automatic filtering of content being posted
an existence of cell-phone application that would allow users to receive replies and post messages using cell-phones, preferably with only text messaging plan.

I know that vbulleting does all but cell-phone apps WITHOUT a need for a data plan.
Any suggestions? recommendations? Perhaps there are developers who would like to develop this functionality for vbulletin for me??

if you want developers to build something for you, with your actual project, i would plan a budget, a ETA and the exact details of your expectations, so people can evaluate if it is possible.

-requirement in a nut shell: an app for a mobile phone (j2ee phone or sidekick) that would allow users to replly to or post new threads and messages via txt messaging service
-budget - open, TBD
-ETA - several month - i am fairly flexible there

It is in a form of an idea so far, so i am open to recomdations and suggestions.

You will not have real details of what is possible right on the forum because you're in the pre-sales forum, where we can only say "it exists, or it is possible"... but you gave the details that could lead to discussions with someone who would be available for such contract, as soon as you are purchasing your vBulletin license... :)
