Deleting the first post of a thread...
Okay, so I have some threads with more than one post in them. I want to delete the first post, but when I do, it deletes the whole thread.
I'm perfectly okay with doing database modification if needbe to resolve this, I just need to know how I can nix that top post, and keep the rest of the thread intact. |
You can select the first post and select move post in the moderation drop down. This will move it to its own thread where you can then delete it.

How about moving the rest of the thread to a create a new thread and then delete the post that is left behind? (Not sure if that would work since I've never tried it.)
|
move the rest of the thread first?

If you can move just the first post, then that is definitely the easiest method. |
I've just tested it.....moving the first post does work.
The original thread remains intact and the thread starter is changed to the second poster (now the first poster of the thread) |
You guys are awesome. Thanks a ton!
