How to i restrict things like they do here. Like you have to do here. be a member to view code. I have no clue what to look at to see how to do that. Any help would be appreciated. I would like to restrict people from downloading things from my forums, so either through the code tags or through some other methods... Any ideas

Change the user group options and set can view/download attachments to no for what user group you want to NOT be able to do so.

Ok i will give that a shot. What i did was just give a link to a folder on my server, that is outside my root directory and such. That would be so much easier. Plus these are big files and I don't want to put them into vbulleting. How does this site, do the tags here so that only members can see the code. any other ideas

You might want to do a search on "hid*" or "permission*" or "limit*" in "all mods" "titles only" and see all the different modifications for limiting permissions that you can't do through default vB.
