forum post buttons

I'm having trouble with my forum post buttons show old/new/locked forums.

Basically when I create a forum and have it to no accept new posts, it doesn't show the forum lock button that it should.

Any clues on how to sort this out?

Do you have them set to be shown in vboptions > forum listing options > show lock icons to users ?
