Changing my Database
I want to move my board from one database to another one with all the forum info already stored in it. How can I do this?
For reference, the other database has my test install running on it. |
Unless the test db or your current db have unique table prefixes, you can't do that as they contain the same tables.
If they both or one or the other has a table prefix, just make a backup/dump of the live site, then import it into the test db. Make full backups of both db's before touching either. |
That's the point, I want to use those exact tables. I have the working database I want at testvb.mtgdarkness.com and want to move that database over to the forum at forums.mtgdarkness.com without having to download and backup. :(

If you ahve root access to the server, then simply copy the files from the test db dir to the other db dir.
