Alternative to vBadvanced

I'm looking for a portal system that will enable my home page to be displayed, even though my forum is private.

Is there a simple add-on that's available which will enable the display of blocks etc on the home page and throughout for forums?

I like wordpress, but I would say this is the next best thing
