forums directory deleted
 

so I'm not sure how they are able to do this but this is the second time in a couple of months that someone deletes all my forums directories and files.

I know I'm the only one with cpanel access and none of the other admins have full rights in the admin panel.

they only delete the phisical files, they do not ban or delete any users or modify the database in anyway.

has anyone heard of a possible exploid that can be using this or what other security measures should I take to avoid this.

Also I have joomla portal and other directories on the ftp and the only thing they deleted both times where the forums

Check your access_logs (you may have to ask your host to do this) and find out how they got in.

this is really related to the serverside if nothing from vBulletin is broken... i would ask the webmaster, there is nothing else to do from here!

I just wondering if there has ever been any reports of bad hacks or something where this can be exploided from vb as I find it odd they would only remove the forums directory.

If there were a mod here where someone could delete your whole forum directory and we knew about it, it would be quaranteened immediately. You would then get a notice when the modification was updated (assuming you clicked installed).
