Special Requirements
I have a client that would like to incorporate a message board and I am considering vbulletin. My client requires a total of 36 member information fields including primary address, secondary address, fax, zip code, company, home phone, work phone, cell phone etc.
They also require 4 levels of paid membership subscriptions: 1 - Standard annual subscription 2 - Bi-annual subscription 3 - Lifetime subscription (one time purchase) 4 - Student discount subscription |
What you are looking for are Custom Profile Fields and Paid Subscriptions, both of which are default features.

It appears as though I can also install the ImpEx Package and then import a flat file, M.S. Excell or M.S. Access file to import a the member database? :D If this is true, I am so sold on this product. I was afraid I would have to manually enter all of the member information.

Yes, that is true, however, it has to be in a set format (I am not 100%, this is better asked over at vB.com).

I too am trying to incorporate your vBulletin message board into my site but only want paid subscribers to be able to access it. Is there a way to require people who register to also purchase a subscription? Presently, from what I can tell your software allows people to register which does give them access with a password to the site. I do not want people to register unless they are buying a subscription but I can't figure out how this could be done. What am I missing. Please help.
