What is a 'defect' tag?

vbulletin tags - mass delete vbulletin tags (no automatic hack)

Perhaps he meant "default"?

You can just go into the admin cp > threads & Posts > tags > select the tags > select Delete Selected (from the dropdown) > Go

(there are no default tags, so...)

I just did this, but for some reason they won't delete. Shows me that "Tags Edited Successfully", but they still stay.

Any ideas on what I could/should do?

Rebuild threads and posts maybe.

Nope, didn't work.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the Auto-Tagger mod that I have installed.

This is strange. I'm just starting my site, so I had a few test posts and the test tags were in the side column tag cloud that I added. So, I went to the tags piece of the admincp and tried to remove them. That's when I reported my issues a couple of posts ago.

But, now I moved those test posts into an admin-only area (to avoid deleting posts/threads altogether) and I added a few new threads/posts and the 'test posts' are gone. Sheesh.

As long as things are good, I'm good. But, very strange that it would 'fix itself'. :)

Do you have some sort of optimizer or caching mod installed?
