Admin stealth mode
 

is there an admin stealth mode out there somewhere? so admin could still browse the forums but without showing as logged in , or viewing threads , and also without their IP showing up ?

You can set it so Mods can't see hidden users. Or, I think there is a mod to make Admins invisible to Mods also. Do a search on "hidden" or "admin*" or "invisible" or similar in "all mods" "titles only"

This is the only one I found and it only works with 3.0 at the latest.

any newer versions out there ? 3 posts in a row at the end of that thread asking for it to be coded for 3.8

Maybe there isn't a mod for later versions. I would guess you could write a plugin for it - perhaps using a global_* hook location. You'd have to look at the code where a users permission is defined about whether you may 'see' other users and then make it so they can't see a certain usergroup no matter what.

Or, as I said, make it so the mods can't see invisible users.
