Hi,

Sorry for the begging but I'm desperate and have hundreds of people screaming at me.

In a nutshell, installed vbulletin (eventually) as a new messageboard rather than using the free proboards. All has been going fantastic,..everyone switching over, everyone posting on the new board

4 days later and we suddenly get this http://www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/

A fast CGI Error? Now, it's hosted via streamline, who dont work Sundays so if its an error with them i dont know if we can do anything???

Sorry, for some reason i cant post this on .com :mad::confused:

Anything i can do at my end? any files i can get into and change anything?

i don't think anybody here work for your host, you will never have support here,... bad for you, but life is heavy on the net!

Ignore this post, FastCGI apparently handles PHP on IIS. Checking around to see what I can find, seems a lot of people get these errors with forum software.

I'll try that now

OK from what I found it seems you may have to wait until Monday for your host to fix it. It's a setting for the connection handling with FastCGI... basically it's not recycling the process correctly when handling with PHP pages. How much control of your server do you have? Can you edit configuration files on the server's end, or restart the server?

Dont think I can unfortunately. Its a friends account but i've logged in and there seems to be virtually no settings that we can change at all. FFS

Also, if your host can't / won't change the settings see if they have an option to host your site on a Linux server. If not, I'd probably suggest switching to a Linux-based host.

worked for a few seconds and now a different error. ho hum
