users having problems logging in when using the www. in the URL.
 
Members are not able to login to the site when viewing the site at http://www.sitename.com/forums but can login when they use http://sitename.com/forums

They login but when the page reloads it says they are not logged in.
Any help is appreciated.

Make sure your cookie domain is set to .yourdomain.com (including leading dot).
