News threads in "News" section as well as relavent Category Section without dupes
Hi All, I have a conundrum.
I run a Mobile Phone Forum. It's not amazingly technical or large but has a good userbase. For reference the forum is here: http://www.mygreatphone.com/forum/ Now usually I report on news about different handsets in their relevant manufacturers areas, but it would great if all these news articles could also be posted in a general news forum as well, so users can simply browse the news articles for all manufacturers together. Unfortunately I don't see any simple way to create redirects that look like general forum threads and so I see I have only 2 options. 1) Create the news article in "News" and then copy it to the relevant Manufacturer thread. issues: Duplication of content and possible double comments for same article without locking. 2) Create Article in "News" and then move it to the relevant section with a permanent redirect. issues: Would always use the wording "moved" before the thread in "News" section. Does anybody have any suggestion on how I can achieve what I'm looking for? Many Thanks. |
