The NEW Fat Boy Magazine

Fat Boy Magazine - Men's Entertainment: Hot Girls, Funny Videos, Movies, MMA and more...

I've totally updated the homepage (I love the blog feel) and made other updates through out the whole site.

I'm extremely happy with it

Please let me know what you think...

I've also gotten a lot of compliments and decided to nominate it for the board of the month...

Think I have a chance?

fanyap 03-15-2009 11:11 PM

cool but how many more times are you going to change it? i think you should let your users grow on something. i might have you mixed up with someone else though...

nando99 03-16-2009 12:46 AM

no, you're prolly right... I've changed it a few times but I'm done.. this is the look I've been looking for all along... glad you like it...

Nando your site is sick !

Its arguably the best looking forum out there. Can you give some insight as to what mods , templates, systems you are using.

Esp: like the template
Also Giologists article system is awesome
Love the balloon tips.

Whats the image link script you use, in posts?

Very good, very envious.

The meta description could use some more targeted keywords. Right now its full of trash words, such as - we, a, and, lots, it. You need something that has keywrods, but still describes your forum. Such as "A mans forum (insert keywords here).

Quote:

<meta name="description" content="We got everything a guy loves and lots of it..." />
And full page pop-ups are really, really, lame.

Thanks for the compliments... after visiting your site, I am "sincerely flattered" (Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.) lol....

As far as the template goes, a friend of mine and I designed the psd and I coded it and implemented it... I've changed things around constantly but I'm finally at point of being totally happy with it...

The article system is not a system... Everything is vb forums/threads/posts - the front page is using vbadvanced for the blog-type posts.

The other recent/latest posts is using a highly customized recent post mod on external pages I had customized.

The balloon tips are from http://cssglobe.com/post/1695/easies...w-using-jquery

The image link script used in the posts are just customized attachment templates...

It's been a lot of work but well worth it...

Thanks for the SEO tips - will work on that...

Regarding the pop up.. i hate pop ups as well but I do want to promote my sponsors and its only for guests.. either way I'm working on a better solution...

Thanks for the comments
