permanent bann

I'm looking for a hack of some sort, that does a permanent ban to a member or troll something like this. Do you get what I am saying?

TigerC10 03-14-2009 02:54 AM

Moderators and Administrators have the option to premenantly or temporarily ban any member. You don't need a hack for it.

No there is a hack I'm looking for, for emergencies, called "permanent ban". I use to moderate on a forum who had this. I know its out there, just can't seem to find it.

Like I said, you go into the ModCP or AdminCP, and you can ban the user. You don't need a hack for it.

I think the idea you're trying to convey is that you want a "quick ban" option. This is not for "emergencies", it's just for ease of use. You're looking for the One Touch Ban.

What did it do that is different than a regular permanent ban? And, did you do a search?

Mellymonster 03-14-2009 06:47 AM

I did a search, and can't find it. Well when you went to modcp, there was a section called "permanent bann" and it bans the member forever, you can do it from any part of the site though, not just from the modcp, profile, postbit, anywhere. It was a 3.6 though maybe 3.7 when I was mod on this site.

You're not using an illegal copy of vBulletin, are you? Because I see user banning options in my Admin and Mod control panels.

Seriously, I don't see why you want the option everywhere. I can see the "one touch spam banning and cleanup" mod coming in handy for banning a troll from their post - but it's not like it's hard to ban someone from the CP.

RedeemedWarrior 03-14-2009 07:11 AM

No she isn't using an illegal copy ;) i know Melly.

do you mean like Cf had Melly? if so that may have been something Erwin coded himself aka E-Ban?

Mellymonster 03-14-2009 07:33 AM

Yeah like CF used...

no I bought an own copy :)

RedeemedWarrior 03-14-2009 09:03 AM

I think delete as Spam is close to E-Ban (it deletes all posts and perma bans) yet i think thats just from postbit

i'll have alook about

I believe Cf went from version 3.5x to 3.7x not sure they were ever on 3.6x

Ron would know Or Nex
