iTunes API to Import Product Information?

Hi,

I want to create posts automatically that have iTunes product information within them. I want to create a bunch of posts and have this posting part figured out. However, I can't seem to find an easy way to get iTunes product info into a MySQL database.

Therefore, I am looking for an easy way to do this, something similar to Amazon.com's product API. Does anyone have any idea how I can do this? The RSS feed that I am getting has a maximum of 200 items which will not work for the thousands of items I want to import.

Thanks!

Does iTunes provide an API to collect information in the first place?

Thanks for the reply. I do not know if iTunes has an API, that is part of my question.

I think they have nothing for the net.

Not quite, they don't have a full API (yet). Although they do have an AJAX powered search engine... That's pretty easy to employ on your own website.

EDIT:
Looks like the URLs have changed... That's probably why Apple is reluctant to release an API, they're changing their standards way too drastically between versions for it to be stable enough for public use.

Thanks for the links. They seem to not work any more or do not have what I am looking for. I will have to think of another way to get a bunch of itunes items to populate a web page dynamically. Any ideas?

Hi TigerC10,

I did check out the links. They are somewhat helpful and getting me in the right direction.

Thanks
