Image background, pics provided.

Hello, I'm currently working on making a skin and I've been able to google all of my questions, except for this one. Right now I have a background, but the problem is, I can't get it to take up the whole width of the background. My guess is I have to adjust the width, but I'm not sure.

Here is with top center:

And here is with nothing, just the image with color background:

If you notice on the right side of the forum for the second image there is that little part where there is no image.

Is there anyway around changing the width? Because I'd rather not go back and fix it.

If you done wanna do lot of work simply make the image wider e.g. 2000px + and align it in the middle. But by doing that image size might increase and make website slow.

Well, I'd rather not have a slow site, but yeah theres not much of a way to get around it I guess. Hmmm....I think I have no choice but to make it a little wider. Alright, thanks.

Any other suggestions?

EDIT: Ok, so I've set the background to 2000 wide and still no luck, looks almost exactly the same as before. Is there anyway to scale it larger?

Set it to repeat horizontally
Code:

repeat-x

Use 2 background images.

Use this as body background:

Cut and use the middle part of your image as a forum background. You may have to make a DIV for that.

From what I see he is only using one image and wants it to take up the entire width of the window. Therefore repeat would work fine.

repeat-x and this (light effect) wont be in the middle:
