3.5.4 to 3.8.1 Upgrade Problems
 

Hello everyone,

I have purchased and upgrade my vb 3.5.4 to 3.8.1 but i have some problems at my forum.

1- when i hit the "new posts" link i got "There are no unread threads. " this message all the time. How can i fix this ?

2- There is a little arrow which says " go to last post " when i hit that arrow i got this " No subject specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator" How can i also fix this ?

3- Before the upgrade i was using a dropdown navlink menu. But after the upgrade my drop down got dissapeared. How can i brought that back ?

Try this:

Create a new style with no parent:
Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style :
Parent Style: No Parent Style
Title: Default vBulletin
Allow User Selection: Yes
Save
Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?

Yes, i do have still the same problem.

Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

Don't forget that for vbseo, disabling the modification means to also get rid of anything extra you added to your htaccess file.

If it's still happening, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.
