I want the first thread (only the first one) not to be deleted or edited by anyone (including the author). I don't care about subsequent

posts, they can be edited or deleted.

Many times, on a thread discussion with multiple posts, the author decides to delete the first thread and suddenly you find yourself

with posts that are out of context and that no one can understand, all because the original thread doesn't exist...i called them LOST

discussions...

I've disable "Can Delete Own Threads" so the first thread can't be deleted and inserted a very low "Time Limit on Editing of Posts".

That could work for first thread but then a user is limited on editing their posts....

Is there a more elegant way of achieving this?
