My Forum Member Search and List is Case Sensitve
I have gone through Support for this and Steve suggested I go hear for help. I have copied over the original files and disabled all the product plugins. I ran Suspect File Versions and got this:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2009/02/17.jpg Any suggestions on how to fix? If I uninstall the plugins, will I retain all the data that I have built up when it was live? Your assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks |
Yes, removing plugins will only effect whatever the plugin was implimented for.

I think you are confusing products with plugins. A plugin is what you find under "Plugins Manager". You are most likely talking about uninstalling a product. If you uninstall a product, you will lose all data associated with that modification.

I'm new to all this and may use the wrong verbage, thanks for clearing that up.
The image that I posted...what is that telling me??? Suspect Files??? |
Not sure if Steve already inspected your database, but this symptom can also mean that (some) columns in your tables have the wrong collation set, most likely a binary collation.
Please use a tool like phpMyAdmin to list the fieldlist of the 'user' table (assuming you are complaining that searching for a user in the member list is case-sensitive) and post a screenshot. PS If steve helped you in a support ticket, then please PM the ticket-id. |
