April Fools Day
 

April Fools' Day or All Fools' Day, although not a holiday in its own right, is a notable day celebrated in many countries on April 1. ;)

The day is marked by the commission of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, family members, enemies, and neighbors, or sending them on fool's errand, the aim of which is to embarrass the gullible. :eek:

Traditionally, in some countries, the jokes only last until noon. If you play a trick on someone after this time you are the April Fool. Elsewhere, for example in Ireland or France, the jokes may last all day. :D

How about if we set a challenge and come up with an april fools Hack or mod that will allow admins to play a trick on their members.

Closing Date for this Challenge is the 28th March 2009 That gives everyone 5 weeks and that would give admins a few good days to load up their trick on their forums.

So start thinking Guys and post here if you want to take part, If we all post our hacks on the same day 28th March, Then we could hold a vote for the Best one :D

Anyone up for a challenge and remember Keep it secret, you wouldn't want anyone stealing your ideas :D

I used this one last year. My Mods are thinking there is no way we can possibly beat it this year - April Fools - Ban User

You never know lynne, Something might come up ;)

I had this last year... wouldn't want to fool the users twice with the same prank :p

Hopefully some will come up with a new idea a day or two before April 1-st.

In that way we can test and get the best out of it, on April 1.

My team and I are looking at various ideas right now. One would be for me to have a public falling-out with a few of them over the next four weeks and announce a major restructuring on 1st April whereby I'd be the only admin and moderator on the board. I'd move them into a ninja-mod group I have so they can still do the work. It's not a hack, but possibly an idea that could go too far.
