auto welcome thread for 3.8
 

is there anything that will create a welcome thread after their email has been confirmed?

would like also...bumpty bump, bump :)

you can make it by hand by modifying your usergroups...

1- block Registered Users to post and create a usergroup called "Introducted" that can post.
2- create your forum where people post their introduction
3- set that forum to give permission to Registered Users to post a new thread
4- create a promotion that give new usergroup "Introduced" to Registered Users after 1 post

... now, when they register, your new users would not be able to post until they post in the introduction forum... once it's done, they are promoted to "introduced"....

this is a bit complicated, but once done, you just have to look at the result.
