Tried everything, Spambots still register!
 

I've got VBulletin 3.8.1,

I'm signed up to reCAPTCHA and have the public/private codes. Yet spam bots still register, it hasn't effected them at all. It's defiantly turned on too.

I've also tried the default CAPTCHA and ask a question, yet they still register. As if they can bypass them completely.

Any ideas?

It's most likely a person doing it, not a bot, there are a few hacks here at the site that you can install to eliminate the spam signups.

Use the quick search above, "spam" & one for "bots" "all mods" "titles only"

I use two systems to stop spam bots and since the creation of my forum, I have only ever had ONE spammer... and he wasn't a bot... bots just dont get through the systems I use...

1... make a custom profile field asking "Are you a spam bot?" with the default value as "Yes"... If someone wants to register, they need to match the Regular Expression "[NOno]+"

Same with me, have no spam and the other image verification thing and they keep registering! i also ban a bunch of their ips and they keep coming for more! help!

Try the nospam mod and ask questions only those visiting your forum would know the answer too ;)

Add more specific questions to the nospam mod.
