UKBL ~ Selling on Ebay Link in Postbit Want to allow members the choice of adding an ebay logo to their postbit?? prevent unindended spamming of threads with members ads??? Well now you can ;) A simple to do Ebay logo in your Postbit so Members can advertise their ebay goods for sale Just go to your admin cp and make a User Custom profile field Called "My ebay Sales" and add this to the description = Add your Ebay user name below to show other members what you have for sale Make a note of the field number as this is what we are going to add to our Code. For example, we'll use Field10 ;) Your User CP should now have a Field like this https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2009/02/72.png Add this template conditional, to prevent guest and non registered from seeing your link, Replace the X's with your UserGroup ID Quote:
Code:
<if condition="is_member_of($bbuserinfo, 6, 7, 9)"> https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2009/02/73.png Now to add our Code In template postbit_legacy or postbit: find Code:
<div>$post[icqicon] $post[aimicon] $post[msnicon] $post[yahooicon] Code:
<if condition="is_member_of($bbuserinfo, 6, 7, 9)"> Enjoy Click installed if you use :p |

Thanks, I am going to add links to Facebook and Myspace, YouTube, etc. using this same easy method. I think my members will love it.

Oops!
*Clicks Installed* ? Do you know how I can get these new fields to show up in the Profile under the Contact tab instead of the About Me tab? I have never played with the profile template before - guess I will go poke around in there, and read up on Profile Categories, while I am at it. But if you have an easy answer, I'd surely appreciate the pointers. :) |

OK, with categorization I can at least add these new fields under a new tab I called Networking, but I hate the way they show up, non-clickable. (Screenshot attached.)
Any idea how to make it appear more like the postbit? Which is very user-friendly - but I don't think the profile fields are, as-is... TIA, |
