Pressing an unrelated button triggers a checkbox. Possible?
 
Is it possible to change a checkbox's status to "checked" by pressing an unrelated button? For example, pressing the "ordered list" button also checks the "Disable smilies in text" box. (I have a good reason, not this exact example though - I have a forum with custom buttons that are related to one another. I can explain further if you want.)

Been playing around with the code for some time now and I'm curious if it's possible, so I can save myself the effort if not.
