Remember me suddenly stopped working on new style
 

Hi everyone,

Looking for some advice, I purchased a style and installed it, tested it for a couple of days and then set it to default style.

Now after 3 days of it being the default style nobody can stay logged in as the "remember me" function has stopped working.

Now it works absolutely fine for the default vB style and I've not changed a single thing in vB since installing the new style.

Would I be right in thinking it can't possibly be a cookie problem if it works with the default vB style?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So they login, change pages and are logged out? Or they are logged out at some indeterminate time? Is the style for the same version of vb that you are running?

If it is working fine with a default vBulletin style, but not with a custom style - you will need to go to the author of those styles.

Basically they log in, click remember me... use the site.... close browser.... reopen browser and it's forgot their login so they have to login again.

Only on the custom style, the default style works fine.

The style is for 3.8.1 and I just don't know what to do as the authors even though you PAY for it and they say it comes with support are worse than useless..

I've taken the style off using it as the default style and if you login using the original vB style and then change to the new style it keeps you logged in... So this must be a clear fault with the style no?

Yeah as I imagined I just thought there might be some sort of tweaking with vB settings that might make it work.

The problem is it's a great looking style but the support staff for it even though it's a pay for style are utterly useless in my opinion hence why asking here!

You can probably try doing a comparison of the login block and templates on the default style to the new style. See if something is missing.
