Reputation Permissions?

I have been looking for a mod that allows me to make some forums available for viewing, posting, etc based on rep. Is it possible?

I don't want to do the usergroup promotion thing because that doesn't tell the person how much rep they need to have in order to post.

This is the final thing missing from my forum, can someone please help?

A modification to the promotions system would be your best bet. Why not just use the promotions system standalone and then post a thread detailing what the requirements are?

Its easier to have the mod tell the person how much rep is required otherwise noobs will be running around the forum because they can't read or use the search button.

Any idea how to do this?

You could try editing the default "no posts" error to one with the required.

If they cannot read - would they be able to get to those requirements anyway?
