UKBL ~ Advertising iFrame on Forum Home

UKBL ~ Advertising iFrame on Forum Home

Banners and text links are great, But for real results add an iFrame to your Forums Homepage and make more ???? $$$$$

Made this a few weeks ago for another Admin, Now releasing here for all to share.

Basically its adding an iFrame to the forum home template, allowing admins to display either their affilate websites or even to promote an external website owned by them, either way its a great way to rake in much needed commision payments

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2009/02/98.png

Banners and display ads are great but with this advertising iframe you stick the ad right in their faces, let the website make that sale for you.

The Example i'm using makes me ?4 for every member that signs up, so by putting it on main view, i'm certainly going to be increasing mycommision payments by 100%

The code is easy to install, and with use of a conditional as an add on you can limit viewing to certain usergroups.

To install:

Download the iframe.zip and edit the code with your details

Remove my details and replace with your own, Thats it

To upload to your site, just go to your

AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > YOUR SITES STYLE > Edit Templates > Forum Home Templates > FORUMHOME

Find

Code:

$navbar
and below it add the code ;)

Code:

<DIV ALIGN=CENTER>
<IFRAME name=stbbox src="http://tradebusiness.at/ukbusinesslive" width="100%" height="200">
<p>Your browser doesn't support frames. Click <a href="http://www.ukbusinesslive.co.uk/forum/index.php" target="_blank">here</a> to view the page.</p>
</IFRAME>
</DIV>

to add a conditional just add

Code:

<if condition="is_member_of($vbulletin->userinfo, 1, 2, 3)">
to the front and

Code:

</if>
at the end, remember to change the 1, 2, 3 for the number of the usergroup you want to use.

Thats It, Please Click installed if you use ;)

I don't get it. If you're already using adsense which requires an account. How do you make money from an iframe?

LOL, Adsense is not the end of the world ;) There are plenty of opportunities for admins and site owners to Earn $$$$$$$.

In the UK i use Buy.at which are a great affiliate company, and gives webmasters the chance to earn a lot more than just adsense.

In the US Buy.at can be found here http://www.platform-a.com/buyat/

Now the BT Tradespace that i'm advertising on my site is business related and earns me ?4 for each FREE sign up to BT's Trade Directory, and thats for the first 19 customers, with more monet for more members in a single month. ;)

If i just added a banner to my site the chances are that i may get a few clicks, If i show the Site Via an affiliate Link, LIVE!! I'm more likely to increase interest in the site, Remember Company websites invest hundreds of $$$$ in Website design to attract customers, Let this work for you ;)

You could change it once a month or more often, so your members won't get fed up seeing the same thing.

The Opportunity is there, Its up to you to use it to your advantage. :D

I don't get this.

If I iframed an affiliate website they'd throw me out for cookie stuffing...
