theres 2 types of account, a personal account and a business account, A personal account allows you to simply use onebip as a method of payment and to make those payments, a business account allows you to accept these payments from anyone on your site. This is what we're signing up for a Merchant account.

Not sure why you say you need to manually upgrade?? Just sign up for the merchant account as opposed to a personal account.

Just been looking at how you get paid an it looks like you get paid via a variety of ways

When will I get paid?

Onebip payments are calculated the 15th of each month, and are then sent after 45 days, with a minimum of 200 euros for bank transfers.

45 days with min of 200 euros - they taking the **** aint they, because they doing it that way so they can sit on the money and make money.
At least with paypal u get it instantly and then u r certain it is going to come.

45 days does seem excessive. If someone pays you on the first of the month, you'll be waiting 60 days to get that money.

Is interesting though, thanks for sharing UKBL.

Wouldn't this be more suited to the articles section?

I agree, although this may be more beneficial for payments that you would not normally recieve, and for making small "Micro" Payments on a regular basis, Don't forget this is not out to Replace Paypal, Just in addition to it.

Its Just another method of obtaining payment by using a mobile and using the group of members that don't use paypal, it opens up paid services from your site to them.

As most of the payments to this are what they call Micro Payments, less than ?5 /$5 then they need to make money somehow on billing the mobile companies and sending payments to the merchant.

This would be suited for admins who wouldn't normally charge for a service but would like to open up to a larger usergroup and make regular Micro payments for monthly subscriptions, downloads, and promotional products.

;)

Yep i understand what u saying - its just the company.Min 200 euros (some admin may take 6-12 months to make this amount). So in that time this company has sat on that money and made interest off it.KK it dont sound so bad if its just one person waiting but think about it if they had 500 admins waiting or even 2000.It soon adds up.

Has anyone actually recieved any money from this company for payments they have recieved.

I think when you sign up to something like this you need to remember its in addition to accepting paypal, and that your targeting a group of members that don't paypal.

I would be more tended to add this as an additional option to payment and not worry too much about getting the funds right away, If your site does small micro payment items then it will be a nice bonus when you finally get your payment, either way its not intended to replace existing payment methods. Except to allow member that would not of been able to buy, take an active role in the forums :)
