Content Encoding Error using Quick Reply
 

Hey guys in the process of moving servers again. If I click on a thread and reply via "Post Reply" it works fine. Takes me to my post and life is peachy. But if I just enter a "quick reply" at the foot of the page, I get:

Content Encoding Error

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.

This is on Vbulletin 3.8.1 running no special plugins (though I have AME installed).

Seeing as you just moved servers, are you sure the DNS has propigated?

Is the server running a proxy?

I would try clearing you browser cache/temp internet folder & cookies and restart your browser.

Also disable any cache system in your config.php file if the browser clearing dont work.

Thanks for your help! The move did propagate, but I found out what the issue was. Turns out the new host already uses some GZIP compression, so I had to turn that on, but to compound that, my AME install was still pointed at the local folder /home/user/new-sweden.com/ whereas my new local folder structure is /home/user/www/Newswede/*

So I uninstalled AME and reinstalled as well as turned off GZIP html and all is well!
