Latest xxx on forum home?
 

is it possible to add a latest news on forum home like vbadvanced?

I know theres a latest threads mod, but that doesnt show images & id like images from the latest threads to be shown

Why don't you add an iframe linked to the Latest thread, that would show nicely on your forum home?? :confused:

What i meant by iframe is a scrollable frame which you can insert to another webpage by which members will be able to view a selected webpage or part of a site something similar to the picture below

You can set the size of the Frame or have it spanning 100% the width of your site.

Not sure if that would help but i was asked to do something similar with a website review forum. ;)

as i said, im no coder

personally I'd avoid iframes when talking about content/SEO/ever

about the latest thread mod, I believe it's possible by commenting out the part where bb code, etc. is being stripped.

Wanna explain that abit more clearly please

Not sure what the confusion is, Iframes are so easy to add, I did these ideas for a few sites using Iframes

1. Sponsor of the Week- Affiliate site with Iframe on Forum home the full width of the site by 200 pixels, Got this particular website admin 35+ refferals and 22 sales in a week :eek:

2. Website review - A thread started by an admin and closed to posting showing members websites in each post

3. Live Adverts- Various adverts scattered around the site, Instead of banners, Use Iframes to view the site, Admin gets Commision on sales and referals

4. IFrame BBcode - dependant on what type of site you have, You can allow your members to add Iframes to their site with a Simple BBcode

Those are just 4 examples that i've used Iframes, if theres enough interest i'll explain more on how to do it for your site ;)
