Moving a secure forum to VB
 

Is there a mod that I can use that asks users to enter a receipt number before signing up??

All my customers get issued with a unique identifier when they purchase a product. I would like to switch to VB but I need to make it so that only customers can access the forum.

I don't mind manually approving the new signups BUT I need to know they are valid members.

Yes, this is possible without a modification (if you want to manually verify). Some smart use of custom profile fields will be able to achieve this.

thanks I'll post a paid services request and in the meanwhile play around with the profiles in my other forum to see if i can do something similar..

Just create a profile field required at registration, and moderate all new members. Check this field before approving the member.
