Merging a deleted user posts to a new user ID?
I've seen a query on an older version of VB (which I now can't seem to find on vb.com!) that showed how to merge a deleted users posts to a new user ID..
I'm not great with mysql, I barely touch it tbh so I would love for someone to tell me exactly how to do this (if it's possible) without screwing up my database... Help... Please.. I'd really appreciate it :D Cheers Matt |

Check this out, maybe its what you are needing:

You can NOT merge a "DELETED USERS POSTS", thats not possible, if you deleted a user, the post id info for that user no longer exists in the database, you would need a older backup before you deleted the user, then you could simply of just merged the users thru vb's admincp, which merge is built into vb by default.
The hack you was linked to is for changing an existing users posts to another user name. |
