Best way to advertise a referral competition?
 

In the past, my site has had posting competitions, which have had OK success, but could be better/more popular.
For the first contest of 2009, we're holding a referral competition, where for each member someone refers, if they post 10 times, that gives the member an entry into the competition.

I've sent a mass email out to everyone as well as making a thread on the forums, but no one's replied yet, where as our posting competitions would have several posts in the announcement thread. My co-admins looking into a press release, but they're quite a bit more than when she last looked so we'll probably give it a miss.

Apart from what has been done, how else can I promote it, get people interested in it?

We don't mind if you ask advice on how to promote your competition, but to use vB.org to advertise it is something else. ;)
