Some attachments missing...
 

So I just moved hosts and some of my attachments are missing...

The attachments are file based not database based...

This is what I did:

I downloaded my whole site and uploaded it to the new host.

I exported my database and imported it to the new host.

The site works fine, from what I've seen, except some of the attachments... It's like they're not there, but I uploaded everything.... I also made sure I changed the attachments storage location... Also, it seems that only recently uploaded attachments seem to not showing up...

If anyone can help me figure out why this might be happening and how to fix it, it will be greatly appreciated....

Double check the file your attachments are stored in. Sometimes when moving many files, some items are dropped.

so I thought about what you said and I did some digging....

i've gone through the files on both the new host and the old hosts and I cant find the attachments that are missing through FTP but when I check the old host for the suppose missing attachment, its there... like, if I go to the url in the browser it shows up find... but when i go to look for it on the server through FTP, I cant find it... this is freaking weird...

the storage type is set to filebase but is there some kind of lag before the attachments are actually made files or something like that... I have no idea whats going on... thanks in advance...

Some of the newer attachments are missing after I moved the forum... I've downloaded ALL files and uploaded them on to my new host...

With all that said, why not just download the attachments from the old host and upload them to the new host right... thats the thing, I've done that... the files don't show up in the FTP for me to download... they're just not there... so since they're not there, they weren't uploaded... but they are there... the attachment shows up when you visit the link... so I'm seriously like WTF... LOL

Are attachments stored a certain way before they become actual files?

I just don't understand how I can see it when the folder is indexed through a browser but not when I view the folder through FTP...

Check the file permissions on the missing files.
