Prevent vulgar words

Hello,

I have lot of problems over one of my forums.

Lot of people/bots is trying to post things related to sex, mobile phones, aso.

So i was thinking one very easy way to stop most of spam is to NOT allow posts with certain words in content or title (not allow posting at all for such posts).

How can i do this ? I didn't find out a plugin to do this ?

Why don't you use the 'Censorship Options' that are already stock in vb?

Go to admin CP > Censorship Options > Censored Words.

Yes, but this is useless. I have already working with this.

This is not stopping anyone to post spam, is just masking vulgar words of existing threads...

Why don't you add a few things to the registration process to make it more difficult for spammers to get in your forum.

Well I have no idea, other than you go to get some moderators, or start giving temporary bands. If people are not going to respect your forums, don't allow them to post. Once people figure out that, those people will not do things like that. Good luck ;) Oh and make sure the unregistered people cannot post.

If we going to add some things to registration process this would help just partially.

Reason is many of spammers are registering themselves, so are humans, not bots.

My idea would simply stop them post with certain words within posts... So they rather going to abandon posting than modifying/correcting their "message". This would stop both bots and humans... And this would make easier to manage a forum, no additional moderation work required...

Wondering why none from vBulletin was implementing such very easy way to stop most of the spam...

create a temporary user group with moderated post. All new registrations go into this, then wait until they post and grab them and ban.. It works great for me. for my forum..

I already know about this... I am not doing this way, but rather through Akismet, all posts from new users are filtered by Akismet, and if are flaggeled are put under "moderation".

However, as i already said, this is kinda crap since would require additional moderation work, as i said...

I am just saying is possible to stop spam with less moderation activity... I suggested a way, but i don't have facilities needed...
