User subscribable mailing lists
 

I'd like to allow a certain usergroup to be able to subscribe to a number of mailing lists themselves, and specified users (not necessarily administrators) to be able to send to these mailing lists through the forum. Are there any vB plugins that allow for something like this?

Was hoping for social groups to do this specific thing (as it's also nicely visible in the user's profile), but that would require several steps and reliance on the user visiting to mark a social group thread read (or he won't receive the next message).
