security token was missing ERROR..!
 

hi everybody ..!

in us forum , forum system tell the some users this error.!

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.<br />
<br />
If this occurred unexpectedly, please <a href="{1}">inform the administrator</a> and describe the action you performed before you received this error

but i never didnot see this error in Internet Expelorer or fire fox web browser .!

please help ..!

Most likely, your templates have not been updated, or you are using a modification that hasn't updated the code for 3.7. See this thread about the issue - Implementing CSRF Protection in modifications

Looks like there maybe other issues as well if its showing {1} rather than a link

When does this error occur? Is there any specific action(s) that trigger this?

there was similar problem reported in another thread regarding this! and he mentioned when he tries to search it shows up the same problem as above!

though also the CSFR protection modifications can cause some problems, since I've update my SHOWTHREAD template both the 'new thread' button and 'go advanced' button (on quick reply) give me errors while loading newthread.php .. weird enough tho

I think if you have installed a skin which does not suit your version of vbulletin then try reverting back the templates which gives you error that may solve your problem hopefully! :)

That indicates that the search box HTML does not have the security token embedded into it, and causes this error. This is part of CSRF (Cross-Site Request Forgery) protection.
