I think a "Thanks" is in order...

A least a lot of the times I do.

Why doesn't VB.org have the "Thanks" hack set up? Is it a pride issue, that they didn't create it? Just curious...

I mean there's so any helpful people here - and a good way to limit the amount of thanks given(prevent abuse), it would be an awesome feature to have/use.

I dunno, just IMO some people don't get the credit/thanks they deserve for being so helpful, and it'd be a good way to give some appreciation back.

would be better in the " vBulletin.org Site Feedback " forum, if you want something changed on this site...

and this feature was debated a long time ago, the staff said there was a decision in the making... never heard of the answer, or it was lost in the load of replies..

personally, if you want to thank a coder, you just do it in the thread of the hack you're happy with... you can also post it in the " Coder and Designer Appreciation Thread "...

I didn't want a change - because I knew it wouldn't happen, I was more interested on the members input in giving appreciation back to those who deserve it.

I have moved this thread to the appropriate forum.

Ohh cool cause I was looking for input, not making a suggestion - thanks for reading it carefully.

THANKS! :p

If the thanks script is being considered, shouldn't the groan script also? Judging from past threads, some people haven't liked particular scripts submitted here. In anycase, they should have that choice.

Indeed they should, but i think a modified script should be used... if there are 100 users to thank a coder, think of the space that only the thanks will occupy.

They could always modify it to only show a certain amount of names who thanked someone, and then have a "...more" link, that opens a popup with all names?
