Babies and Sign language

I seen a 16th month old baby that was signing to his mom last night. I have a baby on the way, I'm going to give it a shot.
She said he knew about 30 signs

what are you thoughts? she said he doesn't cry and get fussy as much as other babies she has seen, thinking it's because he can communicate better?

idk, but I'm going to give it a try :)

I don't know, A child learns more in their early years wouldn't it be hard to break them out of it and communicate verbally later on in life?

she said she started teaching him when he was 6 months old, so I have a few months still to learn myself :p

Some behave like it... ;)

my kids were all learning signs before vocal language... they continue with the signs, in real life, and it's funny to see them use their hands like no others...

the first move is simple: use one hand to show the mouth, means breastfeed or milk in bottle... babies can do it at 3rd month...

@ Nexy... so how u combine sign language and vB???

p.s. So far I just can use 1 finger
