About vBLoadAverages
This is my first public vBulletin mod. I got the idea for this mod from a phpbb forum that uses something similar. :) This mod checks your server's load averages and displays a warning message in case the load is too high. Features: - Displays warning message if load average is greater than X. - Customizable warning message. - Option to enable/disable public display of warning message. - Option to enable/disable the display of the load averages along with the warning message. - Option to enable/disable sending of 503 HTTP status in case load average is greater than X. Compatibility This mod is compatible with linux/unix servers only. It has been tested with vBulletin 3.7 and 3.8 with PHP 5.2.8. Installation: Installation is very simple. Just log in to your vBulletin Admin CP, then go to Plugins and Products -> Manage Products -> Add/Import Product and then browse to the product-vloadavgs.xml file and click the Import button. After installation you will see a new setting group in "vBulletin Options" where you can configure the mod. Support: I will provide support for this mod right here. Feel free to post any questions, suggestions or comments about this mod. :) Changelog: August 17, 2009 - 1.0.1 - Added feature to send warning email when load is greater than X. |

Very similar mod, works on all versions:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=82900 Also "if load greater than x turn off the board" is a similar default vB feature. Thanks anyway... :) |
Installed Thanks

I didn't understand the " 2 " number .. I know it resembles the load average but how it represents it ?
|
does the 503 service load (10 in ur eg.) over-ride the default vbulletin load setup ?

Oh, sorry. No, it doesn't override anything. If the 503 load is set to 10 and if you have the vBulletin "*NIX Server Load Limit" set to 5, it wont override it. The vBulletin "*NIX Server Load Limit" still shows the template and all, whereas this 503 setting can send an Apache style error message (as shown in screen shot) or a simple plain text error message. :D |
