Server Suggestion & Help

Folks, what is the best solution for a forum with over 200,000 members and 1000 concurrent users?

Currently I have 2 servers: 1 for just the website, and 1 for the database. Seems just as slow as having 1 server with both on it.

I tried all the ACP tips of disabling this and that, still no help.

Please let me know the best solution and server specs.

I really need this help as soon as possible.

Thank you guys.

Have you posted over at vb.com in the Server Configuration forum to get your servers optimized?

Also make sure u have a cross over cable directly connecting the servers and its configured properly.

How are you determining the speed?

If the cables were incorrect you wouldn't even have a connection...

Make sure your config.php file is correct.

Is the webserver and database in the same datacenter?

Ideally the database server should be pretty close, and on the same network, or a connected private network to your web server, and shouldn't be serving anything but the mysql connections.

Please use the vB.com Server Configuration forum to troubleshoot this issue.
