Non registered can't view attachments
 

I can't find where I can change this setting.
I have it set so Registered users can see images/attachments but if you are not logged in you cannot do that.

I don't want to cripple the non-registered users that much but I can't find where to change the settings.

I'm running 3.73 PL1

Any ideas?

AdminCP > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > Edit Unregistered/Not Logged In > Forum Viewing Permissions

Set all but the last one to "yes"

If I click on the attachment links in that thread, I get taken to a login screen. Isn't that what you want?

No, because you have to be registered to login.

I don't want to penalize the unregistered users so bad that they can't even see photos.

I'm trying to allow unregistered users to view the photos/attachments.

I don't see any reason for them not to be able to see them.

Check the permissions in Forum Permissions > each Forum > Unregistered Users . both there and in Usergroup Manager > Unregistered you need to have Can Download Attachments set to Yes.
