Group or clan registration

Does ne1 know of a mod for 3.7x that allows group membership.

Currently you can register an account for a user. In addition I would like a mod that allows users to register a group (ie: gaming clan).

I would like to create a gaming community that allows users to register their clan and other users have the ability to join that clans page account.

Any programmers interested in creating something like this?

Social groups are great for discussion on a topic or activity of interest or forming a some sort of club.

But I am really looking for something specific to gaming clans whereby a clan leader can "register" his clan. Other users could join if provided the password.

If your familiar with vwar or what used to be vbwar, the best way I can describe this idea, would be a vwar like features accessible for each registered clan whereby clan leaders can manage their members, game, competition and events via their own clan page if you will.

Also clan leaders would be able to recruit other gamers into their clan page. Kinda like what xfire, GameTracker has for users and teams.

I'm looking at GameTracker and they have a sweet setup but they seem to be using a custom coded solution even if their forums are vb.

Looking at a random clan page, I think you could do that with the groups in 3.8 and a customized style. The only thing I am not sure of would be the "server" and "ranking" function. How do they work, might be easy to do.

I guess my point is that unless you are paying a coder, your best bet is to work with what you got. And the closer to stick with basic vb functionality,t he easier it is to upgrade later on.
