hi...

my forum have a very bad error ..!

user can not upload avatar in server and vb showing this error for me ..!

PHP Error: The function exec() has been disabled.

plz help me for this error.

my friends says , Vbulletin system can not need the linux function exec().

That sounds like something you need to talk to your host about.

You will need to ask your host. They disabled some functions needed.

host admin say , i feeling this function isnot needed for VB .!

That is correct, it is not needed.....if you don't want to use some of the default features of vB or use images/files, and can accept the occasional error message.

hi ... i say the host admin to enable this function but this error isnot fix ..!

when i upload a new avatar , VB system show this message for VB admin:

Imageinfo Failed:
PHP Error: The function exec() has been disabled.

and this message for other user:

Invalid File

more explanation:

more times ago hackers attack to my server and destroy server mail and more Linux functions ..!
but all function now is repaired ... and VB system is normalized.

PHP/vBulletin cannot use exec(). Again, you will have to go back to your host. They have not enabled the function.

i talked with the host admin.
in the host is not error

but i confused ... and i do not know now i can what work must be do to pass this error ..!

The function is still disabled, php doesn't lie!
