Requesting help in promotions from Registered...
 

Hi,

I'm trying to prevent new members that enter the 'Registered' usergroup from adding a signature or adding a link to their profile until they have aquired X amount of posts, where I've set up a promotion to send them to a new usergroup. The problem is we have about 33k registered members now. How do I either move the existing to Registered 2, or do you have any suggestions? I used the task to update the change after adding and testing a new registered user, and it added my test name to the new group after x amount of post, but it doesn't move the bulk of the existing registered.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I believe promotions are processed in a Scheduled Task - just manually run this task.

Actually I did run it manually but it didn't do all of the registered usergroup, i.e. like 33k still in registered but only 2000 went to the new usergroup

Are you trying to move all the old existing Registered Users to Registered 2, or just those that meet the criteria of having x posts?

Maybe the 33k have less than the minimum posts you set. :)
