How to delete usernames beginning in "imported_"

For some reason, when I did IMPEX on my forum, it created dupes of a lot of users, only with "imported_" in front of the username.
I want to get rid of the thousands of those that exist, without doing it individually. Any ideas?

Please be aware that posts might be linked to those accounts.

ImpEx will create a "Imported_XXXX" user when the username already exists on the target forum AND the email address is not the same.

cool. There are a select few who were posting with the imported_ username...but I believe I have changd them all. I'll post a warning before doing this...

Is there a way to accomplish this?

We just leave them until someone wants his 2 accounts to be merged.

So sexist Marco :p

Marco van Herwaarden 01-03-2009 12:48 PM

No, not sexist, just reality. I can not remember any female member ever asking to be merged. ;)

Maybe one day, someone, somewhere will prove you wrong! You have my word!

*cue fade out & emotional music*

:p

Go create an account "imported_Opserty", and ask for it to be merged. :p

the problem is, there are thousands of them cluttering up the database, I just want them removed. I guess there is no way to accomplish this...

There is a way, but the hassle is not worth it, TBH. Do you have any real objection for them to be there?
